CMS Open Payments · 2023 to 2025
What drug and device companies reported paying doctors, in plain English.
Drug and medical device makers report the payments they make to doctors and teaching hospitals to the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which publishes them as Open Payments. Ask a question the way you would say it. You get back a table with the numbers and the source each one comes from.

What comes back
-
A table of numbers
Code computes every figure from the CMS records. A language model writes the summary sentence from those figures and nothing else.
-
Where each number comes from
Every answer names the CMS dataset and the program years it used, and can show the query that ran.
-
Or a plain no
When the data cannot answer a question, you are told so and why, instead of getting a guess.
About the data
Open Payments is a federal transparency program run by CMS. Drug and device manufacturers and group purchasing organizations report what they pay physicians, some other clinicians and teaching hospitals. This site holds the General Payments records for program years 2023, 2024 and 2025: things like food and beverage, travel, speaking and consulting fees, and royalties. The full public data is at openpaymentsdata.cms.gov.
